Sr. ERP Developer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. ERP Developer based in United States.

This is a senior technical role focused on enhancing and expanding a critical enterprise resource planning environment supporting complex manufacturing operations.
You will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design through development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
The role combines ERP development, database engineering, reporting, system integration, and end-user support.
You will work extensively with Infor SyteLine, Mongoose, .NET technologies, C#, VB.NET, and SQL to deliver reliable business solutions.
As a senior member of the development team, you will help solve complex technical challenges while supporting continuous improvements and system upgrades.
You will also have opportunities to apply AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, troubleshooting, and code review while maintaining strong security and quality standards.

Accountabilities
  • Participate in all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle, including requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and support.
  • Gather, analyze, and document technical business requirements and translate them into practical ERP solutions and system enhancements.
  • Develop, customize, and maintain enhancements, add-ons, reports, and other functionality within Infor SyteLine v10.x.
  • Build and maintain solutions using Infor Mongoose, VB.NET, C#, Visual Studio, and SQL while following established software development best practices.
  • Develop and update business reports using SQL, SSRS, and Infor Reporting tools to support operational and business needs.
  • Support system upgrades, conversions, application maintenance, and troubleshooting while minimizing disruption to business operations.
  • Design and document code conversions and system modifications to ensure maintainability, clarity, and effective knowledge transfer.
  • Conduct thorough testing of new functionality and modifications, documenting programming changes and procedures.
  • Provide technical support, training, and guidance to end-users and colleagues to improve system usability and team capabilities.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and collaborate with technical colleagues to identify and implement effective solutions.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools where appropriate to accelerate ERP and SQL development, code review, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating outputs against security and compliance requirements.
  • Leverage Microsoft 365 tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams, to support business processes, documentation, and collaboration.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience supporting and developing Infor SyteLine-based solutions, particularly in environments serving end-users.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline is strongly preferred, with equivalent professional experience also considered.
  • Strong SQL expertise, including stored procedures, views, triggers, and database management using Microsoft T-SQL.
  • Hands-on experience with Infor Mongoose, Microsoft .NET Framework, Visual Studio, and C#.
  • Experience upgrading previous versions of Infor SyteLine to version 10.x.
  • Understanding of manufacturing and accounting principles, with the ability to translate business requirements into effective ERP solutions.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with exceptional attention to detail and a consistent ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly when gathering requirements and explaining technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to thoroughly test, document, and implement code changes with end-user needs and system reliability in mind.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with technical colleagues, business stakeholders, and end-users.
  • Experience with helpdesk or ticketing systems is desirable.
  • Experience designing databases and SQL-based software solutions is a plus.
  • Familiarity with version control platforms such as GitHub is beneficial.
  • Experience with complex multi-site and multi-currency ERP configurations is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of MRP, APS, and scheduling processes is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Lake Companies Doc-Trak, Infor Factory Track, or Seagull Scientific BarTender is beneficial.
  • Practical experience using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar technologies for development, troubleshooting, and code review is preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment visa sponsorship.
  • The position is fully remote, with minimal travel to company facilities or conferences as required.
