Business Development Manager-Residential Sales

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Development Manager – Residential Sales based in the United States.

This is a high-impact field sales leadership role focused on accelerating growth within the residential water solutions and plumbing products space across the Western US region. The position plays a key role in expanding market presence across builders, designers, architects, and kitchen & bath showroom partners. You will be responsible for driving specification growth, strengthening channel partnerships, and executing regional sales strategies through both direct engagement and rep agency collaboration. The role combines strategic business development with hands-on relationship management in a fast-paced, territory-driven environment. It offers the opportunity to shape go-to-market execution across a broad and diverse residential ecosystem. This is an ideal position for a commercially driven sales professional who thrives on building partnerships and driving measurable market expansion.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead and execute the regional residential sales strategy across the Western US, ensuring alignment with growth objectives and channel priorities.
  • Manage and support rep agencies by providing training, tools, and strategic direction to drive consistent sales execution and performance.
  • Develop and grow relationships with builders, architects, designers, and showroom partners to increase specifications and drive product adoption.
  • Convert new single-family builder opportunities into long-term specifications and sales through proactive market engagement.
  • Strengthen showroom partnerships by increasing product displays, stock presence, and collaborative sales initiatives.
  • Support residential product launches by coordinating training, showroom activations, and ensuring successful market introduction.
  • Gather and analyze market intelligence, including competitive insights, pricing trends, and customer feedback, to inform product and marketing strategies.
  • Drive adoption of showroom programs, promotional initiatives, and CRM usage across the territory.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field required.
  • 8+ years of field sales experience in construction, building materials, showroom sales, or sales management.
  • Proven experience working with home builders and/or the architecture and design (A&D) community preferred.
  • Strong ability to develop and manage long-term customer and channel relationships.
  • Demonstrated success in driving specification sales and influencing complex buying groups.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze market trends and translate insights into action.
  • Experience working with CRM systems preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% across the Western US region.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented mindset with strong organizational and territory management skills.
