Job Summary:
The Housekeeping Room Inspector position is a critical role that ensures that all guest rooms meet the hotel's high cleanliness and quality standards before being released for occupancy. As a key part of the housekeeping department, the hotel room inspector will inspect guest rooms, identify any issues that need attention, and provide feedback to the housekeeping supervisor and cleaning staff. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and strongly committed to delivering an exceptional guest experience.
Responsibilities:
Perform detailed inspections of cleaned guest rooms and suites to ensure they meet cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance standards and enter room status into the property management system.
Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met
Check for proper placement of amenities, linens, and furnishings
Provide immediate feedback to the housekeeping supervisor on areas for improvement
Identify and report maintenance issues, such as malfunctioning equipment or damaged furniture, to the maintenance department.
Assist in training room attendants on cleaning standards and procedures
Collaborate with Front Office to communicate room statuses accurately and promptly
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain inspection records and complete reports on housekeeping performance and room readiness.
Monitor and report inventory shortages, such as linens, cleaning supplies and amenities.

Requirements:Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in housekeeping or hotel operations preferred.
Previous inspection or supervisory experience is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
