Join a collaborative, global environment where you will help strengthen internal controls and support the integrity of financial reporting. As an Analyst, SOX Compliance, you will contribute to the global Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance program by evaluating business processes, assessing risks, and testing the effectiveness of internal controls. You will work closely with Finance, IT, operational teams, process owners, and external auditors to identify gaps and drive timely remediation. The role offers hands-on exposure to business process controls, risk assessments, and IT-dependent controls within a complex enterprise environment. You will also help improve audit documentation, testing efficiency, and the overall scalability of compliance processes. This opportunity is well suited to an analytical professional seeking to deepen their SOX expertise while contributing to continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.
Coordinate SOX planning, scoping, and risk assessment activities for assigned business processes in partnership with process owners and external auditors.
Lead business process walkthroughs to evaluate control design, identify risks, and determine whether controls adequately address financial reporting objectives.
Execute operating effectiveness testing for business process controls, including relevant IT-dependent and manual application controls (ITACs).
Identify control gaps and deficiencies, assess their severity and potential impact, and communicate findings clearly to relevant stakeholders.
Prepare accurate, comprehensive, audit-ready documentation covering testing procedures, supporting evidence, findings, and conclusions.
Coordinate remediation activities with control owners, monitor corrective actions, and assess whether identified deficiencies have been effectively resolved.
Identify opportunities to improve SOX risk coverage, documentation quality, testing efficiency, and program scalability.
Build strong working relationships across Finance, IT, operational teams, and external audit partners while managing competing priorities and deadlines across global time zones.
At least 2 years of experience in SOX compliance or Internal Audit, including direct involvement in evaluating and testing business process controls.
Demonstrated experience conducting business process walkthroughs, assessing control design, testing operating effectiveness, and analyzing control gaps.
Strong understanding of risk assessment, internal controls, audit evidence, deficiency evaluation, and SOX documentation requirements.
Excellent analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to exercise professional judgment and evaluate root causes.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain control concepts and findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently, meet audit deadlines, and maintain high standards of accuracy and documentation quality with minimal supervision.
Proficiency with AI tools and Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Flexibility to collaborate across global time zones, including periodically working with U.S.-based stakeholders and external auditors.
Preferred qualifications:
Professional qualification such as CA, CIA, or CPA.
Exposure to IT General Controls (ITGCs) and an understanding of their relationship to business process controls and financial reporting.
Experience collaborating with external auditors and cross-functional Finance, IT, and operational teams.
Involvement in SOX program improvements, control remediation, or control optimization initiatives.
