As Head of Technology, you will play a strategic leadership role in shaping the technology vision and driving the evolution of digital products within a growing, innovation-focused startup. You will lead and mentor software development teams, establish engineering standards, and ensure high-quality, scalable, and reliable technology solutions. Working closely with Product, Infrastructure, Security, and DevOps teams, you will align technical decisions with business priorities and growth objectives. You will oversee delivery performance, optimize team productivity, and promote continuous improvement across engineering processes. • Lead and develop engineering teams: Manage, mentor, and support software development professionals, fostering a collaborative culture focused on technical excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Define technology strategy: Establish technical direction, architecture principles, engineering standards, and development best practices that support business goals and long-term product evolution.
• Ensure delivery excellence: Oversee software quality, team productivity, and delivery predictability, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and meet business expectations.
• Drive performance and continuous improvement: Monitor engineering metrics, assess team capacity, identify bottlenecks, and implement initiatives to improve operational efficiency and delivery outcomes.
• Oversee software architecture and scalability: Guide technical decisions and ensure systems are maintainable, secure, performant, and capable of supporting business growth.
• Collaborate across business and technology: Work closely with Product, Infrastructure, Security, and DevOps teams to align technical solutions with product requirements and strategic priorities.
• Promote innovation and AI adoption: Encourage the use of artificial intelligence, intelligent agents, automation, and code-generation tools to accelerate development and improve engineering productivity.
• Optimize technology investments: Identify opportunities to improve infrastructure efficiency, manage technical complexity, and optimize costs while maintaining high standards of quality and reliability.
• Support digital product evolution: Contribute to product development strategy, translating business needs into scalable technical solutions and helping the organization adapt to changing priorities.
• Build a high-performance engineering culture: Encourage knowledge sharing, ownership, effective communication, and sound technical decision-making across the development organization.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Technology leadership: Extensive experience leading software development teams, with a proven ability to mentor professionals, coordinate priorities, and drive consistent delivery.
• Technical expertise: Working knowledge of Flutter, Node.js, Next.js, React, and PostgreSQL, with the ability to guide architecture and implementation decisions across the technology stack.
• Cloud infrastructure: Experience with AWS services and infrastructure, including the ability to make informed decisions regarding scalability, reliability, and technical costs.
• Software architecture: Strong understanding of software architecture, engineering principles, development standards, and practices that support maintainable and scalable applications.
• Delivery management: Experience monitoring engineering metrics, managing team capacity, improving productivity, and ensuring predictable, high-quality software releases.
• Business and product alignment: Ability to connect technology decisions with business objectives, collaborate effectively with Product teams, and prioritize initiatives based on organizational needs.
• Strategic thinking: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance immediate delivery requirements against long-term technical sustainability.
• People management and communication: Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to develop talent, influence stakeholders, and foster collaboration across teams.
• Adaptability and ownership: A proactive, results-oriented mindset and the ability to navigate changing priorities in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.

• Remote work: Fully remote working arrangement, with two in-person meetings in São Paulo throughout the year.
• Flexible employment arrangements: The opportunity to work under either a Brazilian CLT employment contract or a PJ service-provider contract, depending on the agreed arrangement.
• Working hours: Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with flexibility for specific situations.
