Job Description

Description:

DRG’s Scheduler plans and schedules all required maintenance inspections for Aircraft Trainers, Trainer Aircraft, Civil Engineer Trainers, and Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE), Avionics and Weapons Trainers and all other special maintenance inspections.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Receives maintenance inspection specification data for all individual trainers, reviews for completeness and correctness and if necessary, consults with supervisor for clarification.
  • Calculates and assigns maintenance schedule dates.
  • Utilizes Maintenance Data System to input all pertinent maintenance inspection base data in proper code format.
  • Prepares monthly and 90-day maintenance inspections schedules (Maintenance Plans).
  • Monitors schedule maintenance inspections for compliance to schedule, notes delinquencies, contact owe and PWC to analyze scheduled workload, manpower and trainer availability and to recommend and assign reschedule date. Updates IMDS data.
  • Files and maintains limited save lists on assigned equipment and aircraft assigned as student trainers.
  • Updates save lists, requests and reviews technical training wing requirements lists, and ensures currency and consistency of save lists.
  • Maintains master identification number files and initiates a master file number upon request.
  • Manage TCTOs, TC Is, and Sis. Maintains files of active and inactive TCTO historical records and reviews incoming TCTOs for assigned equipment, trainers, and engines for applicability.
  • Ensures proper documentation, retention, and disposition of historical documents.
  • Prepares and provides reports and data required by contract.
  • Provides support to Quality Control Program and reconciles supply activities with logistics.
  • Obtain required training to assist in the duties of Workload Control Specialist when directed.
  • Complies with all company OSHA, AFOSH and customer safety requirements.
  • Strictly adheres to all security requirements.
  • Adheres to DAFI 21-101 Maintenance Plans, Scheduling and Documentation responsibilities as applicable to the contract.
  • Proficient in computer operations which includes but is not limited to:
  • Create, modify, and format charts.
  • Use graphic objects to enhance worksheets and charts.
  • Filter data and manage a filtered list.
  • Perform multiple-level sorting, use sorting options and design considerations.
  • Use mathematical, logical, statistical, functions.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Requirements:

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Applicants must have at least two (2) years of specialized experience as a USAF 2R1X1, or equivalent civilian/sister service qualifications.
  • Must have the ability to deal courteously, professionally and effectively with the customer.
  • Current valid U.S. Driver's License.

As Required.

Security Responsibilities

  • Eligible and obtain (if required) a DoD Personnel Security Clearance.
  • Must comply with all company Information Systems security policies and procedures.

Language Skills

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex words and technical documents/diagrams.

Must be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing and work effectively as part of a team.

Reasoning Ability and Mathematical Skills

Must be able to analyze problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.? An ability to interpret complex customer requirements and attitudes from verbal, non-verbal, and written communication is desirable. Must be able to calculate figures and numbers, and percentages and be able to draw and interpret graphs. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and drawings.

  • Must be able to lift and/or move at least 50 pounds.

  • Must be able to detect odors, noises, bangs, etc., or other sounds to detect discrepancies of malfunctioning equipment.
  • Must be able to distinguish colors.
  • Must be able to perform Domestic and International travel as required.
  • Shop floor environment.
  • Will be working in areas with risk of injury from electrical applications, moving mechanical parts, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems under pressure and electrical motion systems.
  • May be exposed to conditions of extreme heat, airborne particles, and loud noises.
  • Environment ranges from office-like to hangar and flight line. Extensive sitting to climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands.
