Estimator / Project Manager in BRIGHTON, Michigan at CORRIGAN ENTERPRISES, INC.

The primary function of the Estimator / Project Manager is to perform site reviews for potential projects, generate estimates and manage projects. This is a full-time position and reports to the CMC Civil Construction Manager.

• Perform site reviews for potential construction projects.

• Create estimates for potential projects.

• Able to read blueprints and do quantity takeoffs from blueprints from blueprints.

• Contact subcontractors and suppliers for quotes.

• Ensure Work Orders are created prior to starting all projects.

• Organize and prepare jobs prior to scheduling.

• Generate and prepare site specific safety plans for each job.

• Ensure that MISS DIG is contacted for every job.

• Schedule and communicate with dispatch personnel.

• Track and manage job cost.

• Create purchase orders for all materials and/or subcontractors.

• Schedule and communicate with subcontractors.

• Work with billing team to ensure that jobs get invoiced.

• Review and approve material and/or vendor invoices.

• Work in a team-oriented environment with cross departmental collaboration.

• Follows company quality, safety and environmental guidelines as well as employee handbook policies.

• Good interpersonal skills.

• Able to handle high stress situations.

• Regular and reliable attendance.

• Able to lift 60 pounds of necessary equipment; Able to push and pull 75 pounds.

• Handle exposure to dust, fumes and high noise levels.

• Perform any duties as may be assigned and operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering

• Prior Project Management / Estimating / Site Construction experience

• Pass 7-year background check

• Valid driver’s license
