Residential Rehabilitation Specialist for Overnight Mon-Fri 10pm-6am in Edgewater, Maryland at Arundel Lodge, Inc.

We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Rehabilitation Specialists to join our team and support individuals in developing the skills and confidence needed to live meaningful, productive lives.

The Rehabilitation Specialist provides direct support to members receiving behavioral health services. This position focuses on promoting independence, teaching daily living skills, supporting personal goals, and encouraging recovery through respectful, person-centered interactions.

The ideal candidate is compassionate, patient, reliable, and able to work independently while maintaining a safe and supportive environment.

• Provide transportation to appointments, shopping, and other necessary activities.
• Assist members with money management and budgeting skills.
• Support members with scheduling and attending appointments.
• Provide diet coaching and encourage healthy lifestyle choices.
• Assist with shopping, cleaning, and household responsibilities.
• Support members with activities of daily living (ADLs) while promoting dignity and independence.
• Teach and reinforce independent living and life skills.
• Encourage members to develop personal responsibility and self-determination.
• Ensure program curfew expectations are followed in accordance with agency policies.
• Complete hourly or bi-hourly checks on members between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM, as assigned.
• Monitor member safety and communicate concerns to supervisors or appropriate staff.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of member interactions and activities.
• Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
• Work collaboratively with team members to support member goals and service plans.
• Use respectful, empathetic, and non-stigmatizing language in all interactions.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a human services field preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience working in the mental health or psychosocial rehabilitation field preferred, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.
• Ability to successfully complete required drug screening.
• Ability to work scheduled shifts, including overnight hours, as assigned.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Ability to interact respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
