CNC Machinist - Lathe, HMC & VMC – 3 Day Weekends! in Sidney, Ohio at DRT Holdings, LLC

Join DRT Aerospace and put your machining skills to work producing precision aerospace components used in critical applications around the world. We are seeking experienced CNC Machinists who can independently set up, operate, inspect, and troubleshoot CNC machining operations in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.

If you have experience with CNC lathes, horizontal machining centers (HMCs), vertical machining centers (VMCs), and precision inspection tools, we'd like to hear from you.

• Set up and operate CNC Lathes, HMCs, and VMCs
• Perform tooling changes, offsets, machine setups, and first-piece inspections
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and GD&T requirements
• Manufacture precision aerospace components to tight tolerances
• Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, bore gages, indicators, and other measuring equipment
• Adjust tooling and machining parameters to maintain quality and productivity
• Troubleshoot machining and quality issues independently
• Monitor tooling performance and identify process improvements
• Complete production and inspection documentation accurately
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams

• 3+ years of CNC machining experience
• Experience setting up and operating CNC Lathes, HMCs, and/or VMCs
• Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T
• Proficiency with precision measuring equipment
• Strong understanding of tooling, speeds, feeds, and machining processes
• Ability to hold tight tolerances
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Commitment to quality, safety, and attendance

• Aerospace, defense, medical, or precision manufacturing experience
• Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Mazatrol, Okuma, Makino, Mori Seiki, or similar controls
• Multi-axis machining experience (4-axis and 5-axis)
• CNC programming or G-Code editing experience
• AS9100 manufacturing experience
• CAM software experience
• Technical training, apprenticeship, or machining certification
