Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Appliance Repair Technician to service our apartments in the Lincoln area!

Located at Century Sales & Management in Lincoln, NE, this role involves performing routine and preventive appliance maintenance, enhancing tenant satisfaction, and increasing property value. This role will collaborate closely with maintenance and property management teams to address maintenance requests efficiently and correctly. By proactively identifying potential issues and implementing effective solutions, particularly for on-site appliances, this role helps minimize downtime and costly emergency repairs. Ultimately, this role supports the overall operational excellence and longevity of real estate assets across diverse property types.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience (10+ years) of knowledge in appliance repair.
  • Basic experience in general apartment maintenance or a related field.
  • Experience in vendor management and customer service
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in real estate property maintenance or facility management with basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry systems.
  • Ability to operate maintenance management software or work order systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to tenant maintenance requests and emergency repair situations to ensure occupant safety and comfort.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of tools and supplies.
  • Collaborate with property managers and external contractors to coordinate larger repair projects and renovations.

Skills:

The required skills, such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry, are applied daily to diagnose and repair issues in property systems, ensuring continuous operation and tenant satisfaction. Proficiency with hand and power tools enables the maintenance professional to perform a wide range of tasks efficiently and safely. Communication skills are essential for coordinating with property managers, tenants, and contractors to prioritize and resolve maintenance requests effectively. Preferred skills include certification and familiarity with appliance repair, the ability to perform work that complies with legal and safety standards, and reducing liability risks. Additionally, experience with maintenance management software streamlines workflow, documentation, and scheduling, contributing to organized and timely maintenance operations.
