  • Lead modernization initiatives focused on scalability, cloud-readiness, system architecture improvements, and enhanced user experience.
  • Partner closely with engineering, design, compliance, customer success, and other product teams to deliver innovative and high-quality product capabilities.
  • Engage directly with customers to gather feedback, identify pain points, prioritize enhancements, and communicate roadmap updates and progress.
  • Ensure payroll products remain compliant with evolving U.S. payroll legislation, regulatory requirements, and security standards.
  • Define KPIs and success metrics to evaluate product performance, customer adoption, retention, and overall business impact.
  • Conduct business analysis, gather requirements, document use cases, and identify root causes to support informed product decisions.
  • Serve as an internal and external subject matter expert for payroll and HR solutions within the education technology ecosystem.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of product management experience, including at least 3 years working with payroll, HRIS, or financial systems.
  • Strong understanding of payroll systems, integrations, compliance frameworks, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Proven experience leading modernization and transformation initiatives for enterprise-level software products.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, including experience with requirements gathering and business analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and align stakeholders around strategic product goals.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent professional experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in K-12 education technology or financial management solutions is highly desirable.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of $114,900 – $187,700 USD based on experience, skills, and location.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life insurance, and AD&D coverage.
  • Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA).
  • Short-term and long-term disability coverage.
  • Comprehensive 401(k) retirement savings plan.
  • Generous parental leave and unrestricted paid time off (DTO).
  • Wellness initiatives including ClassPass access and Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  • Tuition reimbursement opportunities for continued professional growth.
  • Additional optional benefits including pet insurance, identity theft protection, legal coverage, and student debt repayment support.
  • Fully remote work flexibility within the United States.
