About Pet Meadow
At Pet Meadow: Stafford, we specialize in providing compassionate, professional, and reliable pet cremation services to veterinary hospitals and the families we serve. We are seeking a warm, composed, and deeply empathetic individual to serve as a Pet Aftercare Family Services Specialist — the primary presence for grieving families during one of the most difficult moments of their lives, ensuring every pet and family is treated with the utmost dignity and respect.
Responsibilities
· Serve as the first point of contact for visiting families and veterinary hospital partners, greeting guests and directing them appropriately
· Guide families through the viewing process by answering questions, and providing compassionate, attentive support
· Maintain a clean, orderly, and welcoming client waiting and viewing area at all times
· Answer phones and determine whether callers can be assisted directly or routed to the appropriate team member
· Contact families and veterinary hospitals to give and receive information as needed
· Enter and retrieve information from the company database accurately
· Create special orders and follow through appropriately upon arrival
· Perform routine clerical tasks including emails, printing, copying, and scanning
· Assist in the organization and administration of company objectives and policies
· Other duties as assigned
Required Skills & Experience
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Interpersonal and customer service skills with a genuine ability to convey compassion to grieving families
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Access) and able to send and receive email with attachments
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a changing environment
· Professional, composed demeanor in emotionally sensitive situations
Preferred Skills
· Experience in a bereavement, funeral services, pet-related, or customer-facing care role
· Passion for animals and supporting the families who love them — animal lovers encouraged to apply!

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
· Work performed primarily in crematory, office, and family-facing settings
· Prolonged periods of sitting or standing depending on task
· Regular contact with deceased pets as part of normal job duties
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently
· Use of personal protective equipment (gloves, gowns, masks, etc.) as required
