JOB SUMMARY
The Packaging Team Member supports daily production operations by performing hands-on labeling and kitting work with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and efficiency. This role requires strong hand dexterity and sustained fine motor coordination to execute detailed, repetitive packaging tasks with precision. The position contributes to a steady, coordinated workflow by working closely with team members, maintaining organized and well-prepared work areas, and adapting to shifting production needs. Success in this role depends on attention to detail, adherence to established standards, and a consistent commitment to product quality, food safety, and a clean, safe working environment.

Department: Labeling & Kitting
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Reports to: Labeling & Kitting Supervisor
Supervises: No supervisory duties
Working Hours: Part-time (less than 36 hours per week), scheduled based on operational needs and availability, typically between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Starting Wage: $16.00 per hour base rate, with the opportunity to earn additional compensation through a production-based piece rate.
Requirements:ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Packaging Team Member is responsible for performing the following essential functions in alignment with Company standards, values, and goals:
Individual Contribution & Development
- Perform manual labeling, stamping, and case printing activities accurately and efficiently to support daily production requirements.
- Complete kitting and packaging work, including assembly, product placement, sealing, and pallet preparation, in alignment with order and shipping needs.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain assigned workstations, and support general cleaning and upkeep of the production and labeling areas.
- Maintain working knowledge of product requirements, labeling variations, and packaging standards to ensure accurate execution of assigned tasks.
Group Contribution & Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with team members to maintain steady workflow, meet production targets, and support shifting priorities.
- Support inventory accuracy and product availability by assisting with physical counts, material handling, and fulfillment or retail needs as assigned.
Compliance & Quality
- Follow Company policies and procedures in daily work while supporting regulatory compliance within the department to maintain audit, inspection, and review readiness and help achieve the highest possible ratings.
- Maintain constant vigilance over product quality during labeling and packaging activities, immediately identifying and reporting any defects, inconsistencies, or concerns.
- Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment by adhering to safety expectations and promptly reporting hazards or issues.
In addition to the essential functions listed above, the Packaging Team Member may be asked to perform other duties as assigned. Fee Brothers’ team-oriented environment requires flexibility and adaptability to meet changing demands and expectations.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
The ideal Packaging Team Member has the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required, or an equivalent combination of related work experience, training, and/or education sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job
- Previous related work experience, training, or education is a plus.
- Forklift training or certification is a plus.

- Product Quality Awareness: Ability to recognize labeling, packaging, product, or material inconsistencies and exercise sound judgment in reporting concerns before they affect finished goods.
- Production Flow Support: Ability to adjust to changing production needs, maintain steady work output, and support efficient movement of products and materials through assigned areas.
- Work Area Readiness & Sanitation Awareness: Understanding of the importance of clean, organized, and well-prepared work areas in supporting safe, sanitary, and audit-ready operations.
