Plant Support Services in Belmont, West Virginia at OMNIS PLEASANTS LLC

Position Overview:

Support Services is responsible for maintaining exterior grounds and internal plant property of Omnis Pleasants LLC. This role ensures that all outdoor areas are clean, safe, environmentally compliant, and visually presentable while supporting plant operations and safety standards. Work includes general groundskeeping tasks, light facility upkeep, and adherence to all safety and environmental standards required at Omnis Pleasants, LLC.

Support Services may work independently or alongside other plant personnel and is expected to follow established procedures, maintain good housekeeping practices, and promptly report any safety or maintenance concerns.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

· Mow grass, trim weeds, prune shrubs, and maintain landscaped areas

· Remove trash, debris, and coal dust build up from grounds and walkways

· Maintain gravel roads, access paths, and drainage areas

· Perform seasonal tasks such as leaf removal, snow and ice control

· Operate groundskeeping equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, tractors, plows)

· Perform routine maintenance and inspections of tools and equipment

· Safely operate vehicles/forklifts such as utility carts or light-duty trucks.

· Sweep and clean outdoor surfaces, equipment pads, and entryways

· Reports maintenance issues, unsafe conditions, or unusual observations to supervision promptly.

· Supports plant readiness by maintaining clean and organized work and storage areas.

· Complete required safety checks, documentation, and training.

· Performs other similar or less skilled duties as assigned.

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Basic knowledge of landscaping and grounds maintenance practices

· Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions, including groundskeeping schedules, safety procedures, and basic documentation.

· Must possess a working knowledge of cleaning practices, sanitation standards, and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.

· Must be knowledgeable of basic safety practices, including proper use of PPE, emergency procedures, and safe lifting techniques.

· Must maintain a valid driver's license if required for duties.

· Must be able to work independently and communicate effectively with plant personnel.

· Reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain harmonious and safe working relationships.
