Stower/Put Away Associate - Full Time
Position Title: Stower/Put Away Associate
Department: Inventory Operations
Reports To: Inventory Operations Supervisor
Job Summary:
The Stower/Put Away Associate is responsible for accurately moving processed inventory into designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper organization, and maintaining inventory accuracy within the BuyWander warehouse.
Responsibilities:
Inventory Placement and Scanning:
- Accurately scan newly processed items onto a Put-Away cart, ensuring nothing moves in the warehouse without being scanned.
- Navigate to an open put-away location, scan the location barcode, and verify that the location on your screen matches the sticker on the shelf.
- Place items into their verified locations.
- Hit or exceed UPH goals.
Warehouse Organization and Maintenance (Aisle Hygiene):
- Place the item on the shelf according to stacking rules and perform a rolling inventory scan of all items currently in that location.
- Adhere to strict stacking rules, including not stacking same or similar items together.
- Ensure SKU numbers are facing right-side-up and out for easy reading.
- Correctly place small and bagged items into the smalls bin on each aisle.
- Place “micro” items into the small bin-wall.
- Maintain clean aisle maintenance/hygiene.
Technology Operation:
- Use a phone/scanner to perform all put-away and inventory verification tasks.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Ability to operate a smartphone and Bluetooth scanner.
· Ability to manage technology to accomplish tasks.
· Reliable and able to perform physical work.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
· Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds.
· Ability to bend, stoop, and reach.
· Position requires seeing, hearing, use of hands and fingers, sitting, standing, walking, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, squatting and stooping in the performance of daily activities.
· Must be able to communicate with others including talking, hearing, and listening and exchanging communication.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
