- Lead end-to-end ownership of billing and payment platforms across residential, SMB, enterprise, wholesale, and commercial services, ensuring high availability, accuracy, and operational stability.
- Oversee billing execution processes including rating, invoicing, bill generation, and delivery while implementing controls that prevent billing discrepancies and revenue leakage.
- Ensure integrity across order-to-bill and service-to-bill workflows by collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to maintain accurate service activation and billing synchronization.
- Manage payment processing ecosystems, including integrations for credit card payments, ACH, autopay systems, and external payment vendors, ensuring seamless authorization, settlement, reconciliation, and posting processes.
- Drive improvements in payment success rates through monitoring, root-cause analysis, escalation management, and automation initiatives designed to reduce manual interventions.
- Lead incident management and problem resolution efforts related to billing and payment operations, delivering high-quality root cause analyses and preventive solutions.
- Partner with finance, accounting, security, operations, and customer experience teams to support compliance, audits, governance frameworks, and platform modernization initiatives.
- Define and execute scalable modernization strategies leveraging AI and intelligent automation to improve billing integrity, automate exception handling, and streamline payment operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in billing systems, payment operations, fintech, telecom monetization platforms, or revenue management environments with ownership of mission-critical systems.
- At least 3 years of leadership experience managing teams or leading cross-functional initiatives with accountability for operational outcomes and customer impact.
- Strong expertise in payment processing concepts including settlements, ACH processing, chargebacks, reconciliation, disputes, and financial controls.
- Experience working within complex multi-platform ecosystems involving billing engines, payment gateways, ERP integrations, and financial systems.
- Proven success driving automation, reducing operational inefficiencies, and translating business challenges into scalable technical solutions and roadmaps.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks, audit support, PCI-related processes, and vendor management practices.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to align executive and operational teams.
- Experience in telecom, subscription-based, or usage-based billing models is highly valued, along with exposure to AI/ML-driven operational improvements and event-driven system integrations.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.
- Competitive base salary ranging from $125,000 to $183,000 annually, depending on experience.
