Job Description
Senior Administrative Assistant - North Campus
- Serve as the initial point of contact for visitors, students, and partners; manage front office operations.
- Provide administrative support to the Project Director and GEAR UP staff, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and maintaining calendars.
- Assist in preparing internal reports and compiling data for quarterly and annual grant reporting.
- Maintain organized filing systems for grant documentation, student records, and compliance materials.
- Coordinate logistics for workshops, campus visits, and parent engagement events, including room reservations and materials preparation.
- Process purchase orders, track supply inventory, and assist with budget documentation as directed by the Project Director.
- Support communication efforts by drafting correspondence, updating social media posts, and assisting with bilingual outreach materials (English/Spanish preferred).
- Provide assistance with travel arrangements for staff attending GEAR UP conferences and events.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support project goals and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn college systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Customer service orientation.
- Detail-oriented with ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate degree preferred.
- Three years of office, clerical or administration support experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
- One or more years in a higher education environment; bilingual
Salary Grade: 106
Salary is based on the Board-approved salary schedule for the current fiscal year. See Salary Schedule
