This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Desenvolvedor(a) Backend Pleno - Python based in Brazil.
This is a fully remote opportunity for a mid-level Backend Developer to build and evolve scalable, resilient, and high-performance systems in a technology-driven healthcare environment.
You’ll contribute to backend services that support a digital solution designed to make medical prescription workflows more efficient and secure.
The role combines hands-on development with meaningful participation in architecture and technical decision-making.
You’ll work with APIs, microservices, distributed systems, messaging, databases, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.
Collaboration is central, with close interaction across Product, Data, Infrastructure, and Software Engineering teams.
You’ll also have opportunities to influence engineering standards through code reviews, monitoring, and continuous improvement.

- Develop, evolve, and maintain scalable, highly available, and resilient backend services, with a primary focus on Python and modern backend development practices.
- Build and maintain APIs and integrations with internal and external systems, ensuring reliability, security, and maintainability.
- Contribute to technical discussions within the squad, supporting architecture decisions and promoting engineering best practices.
- Perform code reviews focused on code quality, readability, maintainability, and long-term technical health.
- Work with microservices and distributed-system architectures, considering performance, scalability, cost, and security trade-offs.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated tests, and continuous deployment practices.
- Monitor applications through logs, metrics, and alerts, proactively identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving production issues.
- Collaborate with Product, Data, and Infrastructure teams to design and deliver efficient, scalable solutions.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and solution design in partnership with Product and other technical stakeholders.
- Support technical initiatives and, when appropriate, take ownership of specific projects or components from design through delivery.
- Solid professional experience in backend development using at least one modern programming language, particularly Python, Go, or Node.js.
- Practical experience with backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, Express, Echo, Fiber, or similar technologies.
- Experience designing or developing microservices and distributed systems.
- Knowledge of messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or equivalent solutions.
- Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
- Knowledge of containerization with Docker and modern CI/CD practices.
- Experience implementing automated tests and following software engineering best practices.
- Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs involving performance, scalability, cost, reliability, and security.
- Experience working in agile squads and collaborating through code reviews and technical discussions.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and communicate technical decisions clearly.
- Experience with highly available or mission-critical systems is a plus.
- Experience with multiple integrations, including external APIs, authentication, billing, or legacy systems, is desirable.
- Previous experience leading technical initiatives or contributing to architecture and solution design is an advantage.
