Oral Surgical Assistant in Sonoma, California at Allied OMS LLC

Position Summary: NAPA Oral Surgery & Dental Implants is a well-established, busy specialty practice seeking a highly motivated Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our team. The ideal candidate is a team player who wants a great opportunity and long-term employment. We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

• Current RDA license
• Valid California X-ray license
• Current BLS certification
• Takes pride in attention to detail
• Punctual and reliable on a daily basis
• Friendly and outgoing personality, with both patients and fellow staff
• Ability to commute and work in both Napa and Sonoma locations
• Minimum of 1 year dental assisting experience

Qualifications not necessary but a plus:

• Previous oral surgery experience
• OMSA certificate
• Dental Anesthesia Assistant Permit (through Dental Board of CA)
• Emergency procedures - identification and treatment
• Familiar with dental/oral surgery software - DSN preferred
• Computer savvy, able to type 35 wpm
• Ability to read, speak, and write Spanish fluently and clearly

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Assisting in surgical procedures, both local and IV sedation
• Sterilization and tray set-ups
• Taking and monitoring vital signs/ patient recovery
• Knowledge of medical emergency protocol
• Assisting in consultations and post-ops
• Lab/ 3D printing work
• Organizing and restocking supplies and rooms as needed
• Other duties as needed shared amongst the assistants
