About This Role:
The Senior Patient Access Representative plays a critical role in supporting prospective and current patients at Evara Health. This position ensures a smooth and timely registration process, provides exceptional customer service, collects payments, and coordinates appointments to enhance the patient experience. Additionally, the Senior Patient Access Representative assists community members in applying for various benefits and facilitates eligibility and enrollment in coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace. The Senior Patient Access Representative also mentors and trains new Patient Access Representatives, ensuring team proficiency and cohesion.


What You'll Do:

  • Patient Access & Financial Counseling
    • Manage complex patient registration, insurance verification, financial documentation, and counseling needs with accuracy and independence.
    • Serve as a senior resource for billing, insurance, payment plans, and complex financial situations.
  • Patient Experience & Issue Resolution
    • Provide exceptional patient service using the AIDET model and resolve escalated billing, insurance, and payment concerns.
    • Partner with patients, providers, and insurance companies to resolve complex issues and improve satisfaction with the financial aspects of care.
  • Team Support & Leadership
    • Train and mentor Patient Access Representatives, sharing best practices and supporting team development.
    • Assist management with department schedules, operational improvements, and updates to financial counseling policies and procedures.
  • Quality, Compliance & Operations
    • Monitor registration, insurance, and financial processes for accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Manage a high volume of patient accounts while ensuring timely documentation and adherence to Evara Health protocols, safety, and security standards.
  • Professional Development
    • Participate in department meetings, trainings, and required certifications to support continuous improvement and maintain role qualifications.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Peer leadership and mentoring of other Patient Access Representatives

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as Front Office in a healthcare setting, preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service, preferred.
