AEP Data Architect Consultant

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AEP Data Architect Consultant based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to act as a senior technical advisor helping organizations maximize the value of Adobe Experience Platform investments.
The AEP Data Architect Consultant will guide enterprise clients in designing scalable data architectures, improving governance, and enabling customer-centric data strategies.
You will collaborate with business leaders, technical teams, and delivery specialists to transform complex data challenges into actionable solutions.
The position combines architecture expertise, consulting skills, and strategic thinking to support large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
You will influence data modernization efforts, mentor technical teams, and establish best practices across enterprise environments.
This is a fully remote opportunity for an experienced data professional passionate about innovation, customer experience, and advanced data platforms.

Accountabilities:

The AEP Data Architect Consultant will provide architectural leadership and strategic guidance across client engagements, ensuring successful Adobe Experience Platform implementations and enterprise data transformation initiatives.

  • Lead client discovery sessions to understand business objectives, technical requirements, project scope, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Provide strategic consulting on Adobe Experience Platform adoption, enterprise data strategy, and scalable solution architecture.
  • Assess existing data ecosystems and recommend architecture improvements aligned with business goals and customer experience initiatives.
  • Design and validate enterprise data architectures, XDM schemas, identity resolution approaches, and customer data models.
  • Guide data lifecycle strategies including ingestion, ETL/ELT processes, transformation, governance, quality management, and data optimization.
  • Support Customer 360 initiatives through effective SQL, NoSQL, and enterprise data modeling approaches.
  • Review technical designs, architecture documentation, and implementation plans to ensure alignment with industry best practices.
  • Mentor data architects, engineers, and cross-functional teams by providing technical leadership and architectural oversight.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, data scientists, and delivery specialists to enable scalable data workflows and machine learning initiatives.
  • Manage multiple client engagements while maintaining project governance, documentation quality, and delivery excellence.
  • Contribute reusable frameworks, templates, and best practices that strengthen consulting capabilities and delivery methodologies.
  • Stay current with Adobe Experience Platform capabilities, cloud technologies, and emerging enterprise data architecture trends.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced data architecture professional with strong consulting capabilities and expertise in Adobe Experience Platform, enterprise data strategy, and modern cloud-based architectures.

  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise data architecture, including ETL/ELT, large-scale data processing, and enterprise data strategy.
  • 5+ years of experience designing data models across relational, dimensional, columnar, and big data environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Platform, including XDM schema design and identity resolution strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, NoSQL databases, enterprise data warehousing, and cloud data architecture.
  • Experience designing customer-focused datasets integrating CRM, marketing, call center, point-of-sale, and offline data sources.
  • Strong understanding of DataOps practices, enterprise data governance, GDPR/CCPA compliance, and data quality frameworks.
  • Ability to review architecture documents, solution designs, and technical specifications while providing strategic recommendations.
  • Proven experience mentoring technical teams and guiding complex enterprise initiatives.
  • Strong requirements gathering, analytical thinking, and communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to varied audiences.
  • Experience managing consulting engagements, defining project scope, and aligning client expectations with delivery outcomes.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced consulting environment.
  • Self-driven, customer-focused, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Preferred experience with Azure cloud data platforms, Databricks architectures, and ML model management frameworks such as MLFlow.
  • Experience in enterprise consulting or professional services environments is a plus.
