Position Title: Electronics Test Technician III
Radar Reinvented.

Our high-performance radars work in all weather and are designed for autonomous vehicles, uncrewed aircraft & drones, and security of borders, critical infrastructure, and smart cities. Echodyne offers its radars to companies working in Automotive, Transportation, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Border Security, Smart Cities, Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS), and Airspace Management including Urban Air Mobility (UTM).

Echodyne is seeking an Electronics Test Technician to join our team working in a fast-paced environment developing high-performance commercial radar solutions. ROLE OVERVIEW As a Electronics Test Technician, you will play a key role in the production of Echodyne radars, enabling us to meet aggressive production goals while maintaining the highest of quality. You will contribute to developing and maintaining manufacturing test solutions that support radar production processes. In this role, you will draw upon your background in electronics and manufacturing test to aid in the development of state-of-the-art production test systems. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support test system development and integration activities
  • Perform test station qualification and validation activities
  • Conduct root cause analysis of test equipment failures and support implementation of corrective and preventive actions
  • Develop test system preventive and corrective maintenance procedures
  • Compile and analyze test and measurement data, distilling into key performance metrics to aid in the identification of systemic issues
  • Develop and document debug methodologies in support of resolving emergent failure modes
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement projects of manufacturing test processes working with engineering, manufacturing, quality and design teams
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
  • Familiarity with test system validation procedures
  • Hands-on experience writing technical documents and reports
  • Hands-on experience working with micro-electronics printed circuit assemblies in a lab environment
  • Familiarity with in ESD (electro-static-discharge) equipment and procedures
  • Experience using digital and analog test and measurement equipment, including oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters
  • Familiar with the use of RF test equipment such as Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, and signal generators
  • Good interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals and groups
DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
(Looking for one or more as a complement to the core skills)
  • Python experience for interfacing with test equipment a plus
  • Experience assessing standard RF test metrics such as return-loss, gain, noise-figure, compression point and bandwidth
  • Understanding of analog/mixed signal circuits related to power development and distribution, I2C and SPI bus protocols, and clock synthesis and distribution
  • Ability to read a schematic to identify test-points, components, and circuits
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of relevant experience performing hands-on electronics measurement
  • Hands on experience working on manufacturing test processes
  • Eligibility to handle export-controlled data (ITAR, EAR)

The hourly rate for this role is
$28.82—$43.99 USD
