Corporate Communications Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Corporate Communications Manager based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to lead a specialized communications function within a high-visibility environment.
You will shape communication strategies around complex legal, regulatory, and reputational matters.
The position requires close collaboration with executive leaders, legal teams, and communications partners.
You will translate complex issues into clear, thoughtful messaging that protects trust and credibility.
This is a high-autonomy role where strategic thinking, strong judgment, and execution skills are essential.
You will drive cross-functional initiatives and help guide public narratives during critical business moments.

Accountabilities:

The Corporate Communications Manager will own communications strategies for sensitive legal and regulatory matters while serving as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders. The role requires the ability to anticipate challenges, manage complex projects, and ensure consistent messaging across internal and external audiences.

  • Develop proactive and reactive communications strategies for litigation, regulatory issues, and legal risk matters.
  • Prepare leadership teams for media inquiries by anticipating questions, developing messaging frameworks, and ensuring communication alignment.
  • Partner closely with Legal, executive leadership, and communications teams to translate complex situations into clear public narratives.
  • Lead cross-functional communication projects by defining objectives, timelines, responsibilities, and execution plans.
  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists covering legal, regulatory, and industry topics.
  • Monitor legal, regulatory, and media developments to identify emerging risks and opportunities.
  • Represent the communications function in strategic discussions, executive briefings, and stakeholder planning sessions.
  • Deliver polished communication materials suitable for senior executive review and external audiences.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in corporate communications, media relations, and high-stakes communication environments. They are confident working with senior leaders, comfortable navigating ambiguity, and skilled at balancing strategic priorities with precise execution.

  • 6–9 years of communications experience, with significant experience managing media relations.
  • Demonstrated experience handling sensitive communications involving legal, litigation, regulatory, financial, or crisis-related matters.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives, legal counsel, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills with experience leading complex initiatives independently.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with a talent for simplifying complex topics.
  • Strong judgment and the ability to operate effectively in fast-moving, high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to understand the relationship between legal strategy and communications strategy.
  • Comfortable owning both strategic responsibilities and detailed execution.
  • Experience in a publicly traded company environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with securities litigation, regulatory enforcement communications, or working alongside external legal counsel is a plus.
Benefits:
  • Competitive annual base salary ranging from approximately $103,500 to $174,000 depending on location, experience, and qualifications.
