As an IT Product Manager, you will own the strategy, development, and continuous improvement of technology products that support higher education operations and digital learning experiences. This role combines product ownership, business analysis, and cross-functional leadership to deliver impactful solutions for students, faculty, and internal stakeholders. You will collaborate closely with business leaders, technical teams, and external vendors to define product roadmaps, prioritize enhancements, and ensure successful product delivery. Working in a remote, Agile environment, you'll play a key role in driving innovation, improving processes, and delivering technology solutions that align with organizational goals. This is an excellent opportunity for a product professional passionate about higher education technology, digital transformation, and creating exceptional user experiences.

Accountabilities:
  • Own assigned technology products and applications, serving as the primary subject matter expert and product champion throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Develop, prioritize, and manage product roadmaps and backlogs, translating business needs into user stories, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with business leaders, technical teams, vendors, and project management stakeholders to deliver innovative technology solutions aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Lead product discovery, project planning, scope definition, business case development, and implementation efforts while identifying risks, opportunities, and success metrics.
  • Coordinate product launches, system enhancements, user acceptance testing (UAT), release management, and post-launch support to ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Monitor vendor roadmaps and emerging technologies, recommending product improvements and communicating new capabilities to stakeholders.
  • Produce product documentation, performance reports, KPIs, and executive updates while supporting budget planning and continuous product optimization.
  • Resolve complex product issues, support Agile delivery teams, and foster collaboration across cross-functional departments throughout the software development lifecycle.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred with at least 5 years of experience in business analysis, product management, or a related technology role.
  • Experience supporting D2L, student portals, and higher education technology platforms, with a strong understanding of student and faculty-facing processes.
  • Proven experience with Agile methodologies, business case development, project analysis, financial analysis, and software delivery lifecycle management.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, CRM platforms, and experience with system integrations, APIs, and enterprise technology environments.
  • Familiarity with Student Information Systems (SIS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms, and higher education operations is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Ability to write detailed product documentation, business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications while managing multiple priorities.
  • Experience leading projects, defining KPIs, supporting User Acceptance Testing, and collaborating with remote teams using modern collaboration tools.
  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) and large language models (LLMs) is considered an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% as needed.
Benefits
  • Annual salary ranging from $78,496 to $105,974, based on qualifications, experience, skills, and location.
  • Fully remote position within the United States.
  • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits for employees and eligible family members.
  • Competitive retirement and total rewards package.
  • Professional development and career advancement opportunities.
  • Remote-first work environment with flexible collaboration.
  • Opportunity to contribute to technology initiatives that improve higher education experiences for students and faculty.
  • Collaborative, mission-driven culture focused on innovation, continuous improvement, and long-term impact.
