This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Engineer, Quality Assurance Automation based in India.
This is an opportunity for a QA Automation Engineer to help establish and scale modern quality engineering practices across enterprise applications. You will design scalable automation frameworks, develop reusable testing patterns, and help define standards that improve software quality across the organization. The role spans UI, API, integration, performance, security, and end-to-end testing, giving you broad technical ownership over the quality lifecycle. You will also integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and help enable continuous testing and more confident releases. Collaboration with engineering, security, and other technology teams will be essential to identifying root causes and preventing recurring issues. This role is ideal for an analytical and proactive QA professional who enjoys automation, technical problem-solving, and driving a quality-first engineering culture.
- Design scalable and maintainable test automation frameworks and establish reusable automation patterns, standards, and governance.
- Develop automated UI tests using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or equivalent tools, including regression suites and cross-browser and responsive application testing.
- Build and maintain reliable automation solutions that support enterprise-scale testing initiatives.
- Develop automated API test suites and validate REST APIs, microservices, integrations, contracts, and schemas.
- Support end-to-end testing initiatives and validate complex integration workflows across enterprise applications.
- Design and execute performance, load, and stress testing strategies, analyzing scalability bottlenecks and establishing performance benchmarks.
- Support application security testing by validating authentication, authorization, compliance requirements, vulnerabilities, and potential risks.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, establish automated quality gates, and support release validation and continuous testing practices.
- Create and maintain automated test data, reusable test environments, and execution datasets to ensure consistent and reliable validation.
- Investigate complex defects, perform root-cause analysis, collaborate with engineering teams, and identify recurring quality issues.
- Support testing of Salesforce integrations, Python-based applications, .NET applications, web applications, cloud-native solutions, APIs, and enterprise workflows.
- Establish quality metrics and contribute to continuous improvements in testing processes and engineering practices.
- Promote a quality-first development culture and mentor junior QA professionals when needed.
- Participate in production incident reviews and drive preventive actions to improve application reliability and overall engineering quality.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 4+ years of professional experience in QA Automation.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or equivalent automation frameworks.
- Experience with API testing tools and automated API validation.
- Practical experience working in CI/CD environments and integrating automated testing into deployment pipelines.
- Knowledge of cloud-native applications and AWS.
- Understanding of UI, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing practices.
- Familiarity with automated quality gates, continuous testing, and enterprise-scale test automation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to investigate complex defects and identify root causes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, security, and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to build maintainable automation solutions and contribute to quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
