The Manager, Upfitting Solutions will lead the strategy and execution of vehicle customization solutions that enable commercial customers to maximize the value of advanced mobility platforms.

The Manager, Upfitting Solutions owns the development and optimization of vehicle configuration strategies, ensuring customer requirements are translated into practical, scalable, and compliant solutions. This role manages relationships across internal teams and external partners while driving improvements in upfit processes and customer enablement.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for vehicle upfitting solutions, supporting customers, dealers, and sales teams with technical guidance.
- Consult with customers to understand operational requirements, use cases, duty cycles, and application needs.
- Recommend appropriate body, equipment, and configuration solutions aligned with vehicle specifications and performance requirements.
- Develop and maintain approved upfit configurations, compatibility standards, and best practices.
- Create scalable frameworks for common commercial applications, including delivery, utility, service, refrigeration, and specialty builds.
- Define configuration rules, documentation, and processes that support efficient quoting and ordering.
- Collaborate with upfit partners, body manufacturers, and equipment suppliers to evaluate solutions and ensure scalability.
- Support partner onboarding, training, and ongoing relationship management.
- Partner with engineering, product, and manufacturing teams to validate feasibility and communicate customer-driven requirements.
- Support safety, regulatory, and compliance considerations related to vehicle integration.
- Build repeatable workflows, playbooks, and tools for upfit selection, approval, and management.
- Analyze field feedback, customer satisfaction data, and operational insights to identify improvement opportunities.
The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in commercial vehicles, fleet solutions, or related industries, with the ability to combine technical knowledge, project leadership, and customer-focused communication.
- 6–10+ years of experience in commercial vehicles, vehicle upfitting, body equipment, fleet solutions, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of commercial vehicle upfits, including box bodies, service bodies, refrigeration systems, liftgates, cranes, racks, and specialty equipment.
- Experience working with dealers, OEMs, fleet customers, or commercial vehicle partners.
- Ability to translate technical requirements into clear customer-facing recommendations and solutions.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience developing standardized product frameworks, configuration processes, or operational guidelines.
- Familiarity with vehicle integration concepts, electrical systems, weight distribution, and load constraints preferred.
- Experience with electric vehicles, alternative powertrains, or emerging mobility technologies is a plus.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across engineering, sales, manufacturing, and partner teams.
- Competitive salary range of approximately $110,000 - $140,000 USD.
