Lawn Care Crew Lead in St. Johns, Michigan at Smith Lawnscapes, LLC

Smith Lawnscapes LLC, a family-oriented landscape construction and maintenance company, is seeking a dependable Lawn Care/Mowing Crew Lead to join our dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, train, motivate, and supervise mowing crew members.
• Delegate daily tasks and keep the crew productive and on schedule.
• Perform and oversee mowing, trimming, edging, blowing, and property clean-up.
• Inspect completed work and correct quality issues before leaving the property.
• Follow daily routes and communicate delays or job concerns to management.
• Ensure trucks, trailers, mowers, and equipment are clean, organized, and properly maintained.
• Report equipment damage or maintenance needs immediately.
• Enforce company safety procedures and proper PPE use.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service.
• Accurately complete timesheets, job information, and required documentation.
• Report customer concerns, accidents, damages, or employee issues to management.
• Lead by example through professionalism, punctuality, attendance, and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications:

• Experience operating landscape or construction equipment preferred
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  Leadership or Crew Lead Experience Preferred
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required)

Working Conditions:

Fast paced environment, outdoors in various conditions including heat, humidity, rain, dust, noise and cold. Some weekends may be required.
