Job Description
Safe Industries is looking for an experienced diesel mechanic to work on-site at our Nashville Service shop and off-site in the Nashville area. Work environment includes indoor service shop located in Nashville, TN and outdoors off-site for customer repairs.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform repairs and assigned preventative maintenance services
Performs inspections, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulics, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment
Utilize vehicle computer electronic systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs
Complete required paperwork utilizing with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times
Reviews, completes, or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports
Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment
Maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards
Typical schedule is Monday-Friday, occasional Saturdays as needed
Requirements:
Experience in large vehicle servicing and repairs
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
Ability to lift 50 lbs. 10% of the day
Must have and be able to maintain a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
Must be able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen
Must be able to receive and maintain a Certified Medical Examiner’s Health Card (DOT)
Diesel mechanic experience
Preferred Skills:
Have or can obtain a Commercial Driver’s License
Experience with Department of Transportation compliance activities
