Job Description
Title: Logistics Manager
Location: North Sioux City, SD
Reports to: Director of Services
Job Description: The Logistics Manager oversees and optimizes logistics operations. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain, ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of technology products, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, freight partners, and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in logistics, inventory management, and distribution, with a strong focus on efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Required Technical Skills: The Logistics Manager should be proficient in ERP systems, warehouse management software, and logistics platforms.
Required Education/Experience: The Logistics Manager should have a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus. The Logistics Manager should also have 7+ years of logistics, supply chain, or operations management experience, preferably within a high-volume technology distribution or reseller environment.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of IT hardware and software supply chains, including manufacturer relationships and channel distribution.
- Proven ability to lead teams, drive process improvements, and solve complex logistics challenges in a fast-paced environment.
- APICS, Six Sigma, or other relevant supply chain certifications preferred.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize inventory flow, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Oversee inbound and outbound shipments, negotiate carrier contracts, and ensure compliance with international and domestic shipping regulations.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to improve inventory accuracy, minimize stock discrepancies, and streamline order fulfillment processes.
- Manage relationships with logistics providers, 3PL partners, and technology manufacturers to ensure seamless product movement.
- Identify inefficiencies in supply chain processes and implement best practices, leveraging technology and automation where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with trade regulations, customs requirements, and environmental standards while mitigating supply chain risks.
- Utilize data-driven insights to track KPIs, monitor supply chain performance, and support executive decision-making.
- Work closely with sales, procurement, and customer service teams to align logistics strategies with business goals and customer expectations.
