Teacher's Aide - Residential Facility in Erie, North Dakota at Perseus House, Inc

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher's Aide to join our residential facility team. Key Responsibilities:

- Assist teachers and program staff in implementing educational activities and lesson plans

- Support residents with their daily learning, social, and behavioral goals

- Supervise residents during educational and recreational activities to ensure safety

- Provide one-on-one or small group support to residents with diverse needs

- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming learning environment

- Collaborate with team members to develop individualized support strategies

- Document resident progress and communicate effectively with staff and families

Skills and Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in education or social services is a plus

- Previous experience working with children or residents in a residential or educational setting

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude

- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of residents

- Basic knowledge of behavior management and support techniques
