Ignite Education Solutions is hiring a Classroom Manager to work in a behavior intervention classroom one-on-one with students.

What are the duties and responsibilities?
Management
- Teach personal development skills such as goal setting, independence and self-advocacy
- Facilitate completion of tests and assignments to evaluate students’ progress
- Administer specialized testing as necessary
- Follow-up with concerns from teachers, parents and/or administrative staff
- Prepare activities to keep students engaged throughout the school day
- Teach socially acceptable behavior, employing techniques such as behavior modification and positive reinforcement
- Track daily behaviors using Class Dojo or another tracking method as approved by Ignite administration
- Track attendance daily for each student
- Complete bi-weekly progress report for tracking attendance and behavior, and academic progress reports as needed
IEP Implementation and Management
- Coordinate implementation of IEP goals and modifications (SDI’s) with general education and special education staff
- Confer with parents, administrators, testing specialists and professionals to ensure individual education
- Plans are designed to promote students’ educational, physical and social development
- Monitor student progress, participate in review and revision of IEP, as appropriate
- Attend staff meetings as required
- Perform other duties as necessary
What are the required qualifications?
- High School Diploma required
- A bachelor’s degree in secondary education/elementary education or Human Services field preferred
- Willingness to go through (and pass!) the required clearances and training to ensure the safety and security of our children, including: four clearances, mandated reporter training, a physical, and TB test. This can typically be accomplished within a week to get you started.
- Capacity for sitting, standing, walking, bending and stopping for long periods of time, as these happen throughout the eight-hour day.
