Senior Amazon Connect Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Amazon Connect Engineer based in India.

This role offers the opportunity to design and deliver advanced cloud-based contact center solutions using Amazon Connect and AWS technologies.
You will work on enterprise-scale implementations that improve customer engagement, automation, and operational efficiency.
The position combines cloud architecture, serverless development, conversational AI, and system integration expertise.
You will collaborate with customers, architects, and technical teams to transform business requirements into scalable solutions.
The role provides exposure to modern AWS services, AI-powered customer experiences, and innovative contact center technologies.
You will contribute to solution design, technical workshops, and proof-of-concept initiatives in a fast-moving cloud environment.

Accountabilities:

As a Senior Amazon Connect Engineer, you will design, implement, optimize, and support cloud-based contact center platforms while helping organizations modernize their customer engagement capabilities. You will combine technical expertise with customer collaboration to deliver secure, scalable, and AI-enabled solutions.

  • Design, implement, and support enterprise-scale Amazon Connect solutions.
  • Configure and customize Amazon Connect components, including Contact Flows, Queues, Routing Profiles, Quick Connects, Hours of Operation, and Agent Workspaces.
  • Develop serverless applications using AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, DynamoDB, S3, and EventBridge.
  • Integrate Amazon Connect with enterprise platforms including CRM, ERP, ServiceNow, Salesforce, Zendesk, and other business applications through APIs and AWS services.
  • Implement conversational AI solutions using technologies such as Amazon Lex and Amazon Bedrock to enhance customer self-service experiences.
  • Configure and optimize Contact Lens, call recording, transcription, analytics, and reporting capabilities.
  • Troubleshoot and improve Amazon Connect environments to ensure reliability, performance, scalability, and security.
  • Gather customer requirements and translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
  • Participate in architecture discussions, technical workshops, solution demonstrations, and customer engagements.
  • Support go-to-market activities through technical proposals, solution development, and proof-of-concept initiatives.
  • Stay updated on Amazon Connect capabilities, AWS services, and evolving contact center technologies.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cloud architecture, Amazon Connect implementations, and customer engagement technologies. You should be comfortable working with enterprise integrations, AI solutions, and cross-functional stakeholders while delivering high-quality technical outcomes.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience designing and implementing cloud-based solutions.
  • 3+ years of hands-on Amazon Connect experience.
  • 3+ years of experience designing and implementing NLP/NLU solutions for enterprise contact center environments using conversational AI frameworks such as Amazon Lex, Rasa, Dialogflow, or similar platforms.
  • Strong expertise configuring Amazon Connect features including Contact Flows, Routing Profiles, Queues, Quick Connects, and Agent Workspace.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, Step Functions, IAM, and CloudWatch.
  • Strong Python programming skills for automation, integrations, and serverless application development.
  • Experience developing and integrating REST APIs and web services with enterprise platforms.
  • Experience integrating contact center platforms and business applications at enterprise scale.
  • Strong understanding of contact center concepts including IVR, ACD, routing, customer experience, and workforce optimization.
  • Experience implementing conversational AI solutions using Amazon Lex and/or Amazon Bedrock.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in AWS environments is highly desirable.
  • Experience supporting solution architecture, customer workshops, proof-of-concepts, and pre-sales activities is a plus.
  • Relevant AWS certifications in areas such as Generative AI, Machine Learning, or AI technologies are advantageous.
