Trystar’s team members are our most important asset, and we are in search of a Production Manager – 2nd Shift based at our Faribault Plant.
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Manager is responsible for leading all second shift manufacturing operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and productive execution of daily production activities. This role provides leadership to production supervisors and production teams while driving performance across safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and employee engagement. The Operations Manager serves as a key operational leader, partnering cross-functionally with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, Human Resources, and First Shift leadership to support business objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.

In this role you will get to:
- Lead all second shift manufacturing operations with a strong focus on safety, quality, productivity, and schedule attainment.
- Drive a safety-first culture by leading incident investigations, supporting risk mitigation efforts, coordinating emergency response activities, and ensuring compliance with company safety standards.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily production activities to achieve operational goals while maintaining staffing alignment and resource utilization.
- Conduct regular Gemba walks throughout production areas to identify opportunities for improvement, address operational challenges, and ensure adherence to standard work.
- Lead daily production meetings with supervisors to align priorities, resolve constraints, support production flow, and address staffing, maintenance, quality, and engineering concerns.
- Develop, coach, and mentor Production Supervisors while driving accountability, leadership development, cross-training initiatives, and workforce capability growth.
- Partner with Human Resources to address employee relations matters, performance management, corrective actions, investigations, and workforce engagement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent manufacturing leadership experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, including direct supervision of supervisors and production teams.
- Demonstrated experience leading operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of safety programs, incident investigation processes, and root cause analysis methodologies.
- Experience managing production schedules, workforce planning, staffing allocation, and performance metrics.
- Proven ability to drive accountability and develop high-performing teams through coaching, mentoring, and leadership development.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners including Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Human Resources.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and manufacturing reporting systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support operational requirements.
