Summary/Objective:

As a valued member of our team, the Tire Technician will be responsible for the inspection, repair, installation, and replacement of tires on cars, trucks, and other fleet vehicles. Responsibilities includes ensuring that tires are safe and reliable and that they work in tandem with other vehicle systems. To be successful in this role, the tire technician will be work with mechanics and other team members to ensure quality and excellent customer service.

Supervisory Responsibilities: No

Essential Functions

• Respond to road calls for tire-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining safety standards.

• Perform tire mounting and balancing operations, ensuring optimal vehicle performance and safety.

• Maintain optimal tire pressure and maximize tire life.

• Conduct regular tire testing and collect data to assess tire performance and longevity.

• Visit all locations and ensure proper procedures and inflation requirements are met.

• Schedule and assign road and fleet services.

• Manage tire inventory and expense control, ensuring adequate stock levels for operational needs and conducting regular audits for accuracy.

• Uphold company standards in all tire-related operations and communications.

• Verify all vendors meet satisfactory requirements.

• Ensure D.O.T. and safety policies are followed.

• Perform other tasks as required.

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance to keep vehicles and equipment in compliance with DOT and company standards.

• Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines.

• Able to communicate effectively with personnel.

• Create and maintain a positive, safe, and effective work environment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Hours of work may vary at the plant or other locations. Not eligible for remote work. Must be available 6 days a week and work overtime as job duties demand.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

• Possess a valid unrestricted California Driver’s license.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
