Research Associate
Job Summary:The Research Associate assists with the Insights and Innovation team’s landscape research and enterprise-wide program evaluation efforts, using the tools and best practices of social science and market research. S/he supports the team’s research and evaluation efforts by analyzing data, creating surveys, and communicating findings. The Associate has training and experience in research and evaluation.

- Demonstrate alignment with the vision, mission, and values of American Bible Society.
- Analyze general population survey data using SPSS and other statistical software programs, as needed.
- Design and deploy audience feedback and needs surveys using Qualtrics online research software and other platforms, as needed.
- Provide technical assistance to other teams in the organization using the Qualtrics survey software.
- Create reports and presentations to communicate findings.
- Review research papers, blogs, and video scripts and provide quality assurance checks on statistics before they are published.
- Support monthly State of the Bible research releases by communicating with various teams and contractors to ensure all deadlines are met.
- Upload research reports to the State of the Bible website and format accompanying blog articles. Complete basic website management tasks.
- Maintain shared file repositories so documents are kept in order and easily accessed by the rest of the team.
- Complete monthly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting using Google Analytics and other analytics platforms.
- Assist with communications around the ABS Innovation Grant Program.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in social science and/or market research. Graduate degree preferred.
- Experience: Coursework and experience in quantitative and qualitative research strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in latest versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience with SPSS, SAS, or other statistical analysis software. Certifications through Qualtrics Core XM™ Expert required within 120 days of employment. Basic experience with website management and AI analytical tools a plus.

- Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

Office Location: Hybrid. Office located in Old City in Philadelphia. On-site work required two days each week with Tuesday mandatory as one of the days. Fully remote is possible with significant experience. Core Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Travel Required: Occasional business travel outside the Philadelphia area will not exceed 24 days per year.Additional Information:- Background Check: Candidates must pass a background check as a condition of employment.
