Job Description
MEP Estimator/Bid Coordinator
We are seeking an experienced MEP Estimator/Bid Coordinator to join our growing team delivering large-scale data centre projects across Europe.
The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive Commissioning, MEP and CoHE estimates for mission critical facilities, supporting both pre-construction and tender activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for data centre projects
- Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
- Undertake quantity take-offs for mechanical and electrical systems
- Assess labour costs
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing packages (if applicable)
- Identify value engineering opportunities and commercial risks
- Support bid submissions and tender clarifications
- Work closely with Business Unit Directors, Project managers, design teams, and commercial leads
- Assist with budgeting and cost planning during throughout project life cycles
Requirements
- Proven experience as an MEP Estimator within construction or mission critical projects
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services systems
- Data centre project experience preferred
- Experience with large-scale commercial, pharmaceutical, or critical infrastructure projects considered advantageous
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills
- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work within fast-paced project environments
Desirable Experience
- Data centre commissioning or mission critical project exposure
- Knowledge of European construction markets
- Familiarity with NEC, FIDIC, or similar contract forms
- Experience working with Tier III or Tier IV facilities
