This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineering professional to lead complex industrial water and wastewater projects within a collaborative and mission-driven environment. The role focuses on delivering innovative infrastructure and treatment solutions for industrial and commercial clients across multiple sectors, including food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, consumer products, and data centers. You will oversee projects from planning and design through construction and operational support while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering, operations, and technical teams nationwide. This position offers the opportunity to mentor staff, contribute to process improvements, and help shape long-term client relationships within a growing industrial water practice. You will play a key role in delivering sustainable water solutions that positively impact communities, industries, and the environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead and manage industrial water and wastewater engineering projects through planning, design, construction, start-up, and operational phases.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams including engineering, electrical, structural, CAD, SCADA, and operations professionals to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
  • Develop project delivery strategies, technical approaches, schedules, budgets, and resource plans to ensure successful project execution.
  • Manage project milestones, deliverables, budgets, and timelines using established project management frameworks and best practices.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders while maintaining strong professional relationships.
  • Conduct site visits, participate in client meetings, support proposal development, and oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and contract requirements.
  • Perform and coordinate QA/QC reviews to ensure technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and adherence to engineering standards.
  • Collaborate with leadership teams on staffing strategies, process improvements, design standards, and operational efficiencies.
  • Support business development initiatives and contribute to presentations, technical training programs, and industry engagement activities.
  • Mentor junior staff and support the development of technical, leadership, and project management capabilities across the team.
Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline; Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or advanced certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience within engineering consulting, industrial water, wastewater, or related infrastructure projects.
  • Strong background serving industrial clients in sectors such as food and beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical, life sciences, data center, or consumer products industries.
  • Demonstrated expertise in industrial water and wastewater system design, planning, construction support, and project delivery.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality, budget, and schedule objectives.
  • Strong understanding of safe work practices and commitment to maintaining safety standards across all project phases.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and construction activities in complex project environments.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, organizational, and problem-solving abilities within collaborative team settings.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% across the continental United States.
