Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Inside Sales & Lead Conversion Specialist based in the United States.
This is a hunter-focused sales role responsible for converting inbound opportunities, expanding existing accounts, and generating new business across an underserved market. You will manage an active pipeline while building on established client and rep-agency relationships. The role combines persistent prospect follow-up, relationship development, pipeline management, and closing responsibilities. You will work closely with Sales Support and Customer Success teams to move opportunities efficiently from initial conversation through order completion. Success will depend on strong self-management, disciplined CRM usage, and a consistent focus on revenue generation. This is an opportunity to make a measurable commercial impact in a growing environment with significant market potential.
- Follow up persistently with inbound leads and open projects through phone outreach and ongoing engagement until opportunities are closed or definitively lost.
- Maintain accurate, real-time lead, opportunity, and project information in the CRM to ensure complete pipeline visibility.
- Coordinate with Sales Support on quotes and order processing to ensure smooth transitions from sales conversations to documentation and fulfillment.
- Proactively contact existing customers to identify new project opportunities, increase order volume, and generate incremental revenue.
- Take ownership of closing additional business within existing accounts, making account growth a core part of the sales strategy.
- Coordinate outreach with Customer Success to establish clear account boundaries and avoid duplicated or conflicting client communication.
- Maintain a disciplined, up-to-date sales pipeline for weekly reviews and business planning.
- Identify stalled, delayed, or at-risk opportunities early and take appropriate action to re-engage prospects or advance deals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and prospects while consistently identifying opportunities for revenue growth.
- Operate independently in a remote environment, taking full ownership of daily prospecting, follow-up, pipeline management, and sales execution.
- Proven track record of aggressive, self-generated phone outreach and proactive sales prospecting, with a strong hunter mentality.
- Demonstrated success in converting leads and generating new business rather than primarily maintaining existing customer relationships.
- Strong motivation by performance-based compensation and comfort with a commission-forward sales structure.
- Genuine knowledge of LED lighting products, architectural lighting, signage, or related products, or the ability to develop strong product expertise quickly.
- Strong spoken English and the ability to communicate effectively with U.S.-based architects, specifiers, sign companies, customers, and other professional buyers.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a sales pipeline, follow up consistently, and maintain accurate CRM records.
- Proven ability to work remotely with limited day-to-day supervision and independently organize priorities, activities, and follow-ups.
- Strong persistence, commercial drive, and resilience when pursuing prospects and overcoming sales obstacles.
- Excellent relationship-building, communication, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Sales Support and Customer Success while maintaining clear ownership of sales outcomes.
- Candidates who prefer highly structured environments, require frequent daily supervision, or primarily favor account maintenance over proactive business development may not be suited to this role.
- Base salary of $60,000 per year.
- Uncapped commission on both new-business and existing-account sales.
- Commission-forward compensation structure with substantial earning potential for strong performers.
- Opportunity to build on an established customer and rep-agency network rather than starting entirely from scratch.
- Active sales pipeline and proven product portfolio.
- Large, underserved territory offering significant opportunities for business development and revenue growth.
- Fully remote work within the United States.
- High degree of autonomy with limited day-to-day oversight.
- Opportunity to contribute directly to the growth of a developing business and make a measurable commercial impact.
