Job Description
As Director of Social Responsibility, you are building more than programs - you are building you are building experiences that shape lives create relationships that transform communities.
You are the leader who brings together members, donors, volunteers, and organizations around a shared purpose. You ensure that every member feels welcomed, and our community feels like they belong. You help tell the YMCA's story in ways that inspire people to invest their time, talent, and resources.
This role requires someone who can balance strategy and operations, vision, and execution. You must think beyond daily schedules and ratios to see the bigger picture: how social responsibility programs strengthen the future of our community. You understand that every volunteer hour, community partnership, and member interaction contribute to something much larger than itself.
This is about creating opportunities for people to make a difference while ensuring the YMCA remains a trusted, visible, and impactful community leader.
Requirements:Essential Functions include program leadership and operations, staff leadership and development, compliance and risk management, financial management, family, and community engagement, fundraising and volunteer engagement, reporting, and continuous improvement.
Core functions include Program Leadership and Development, Staff Leadership and Development, Compliance and Risk Management, Financial Management, Family and Community Engagement, Fundraising and Volunteer Engagement.
Four (4) or more years of progressive leadership experience in nonprofit leadership, community engagement, development, marketing, volunteer management, or related fields. Demonstrated success leading multiple programs, supervising staff, and managing daily operations across diverse program areas. Experience with staff recruitment, training, coaching,
performance management and building high - performing teams. Experience managing department budgets, membership campaigns, enrollment growth, and operational planning. Experience working with families, schools, and community partnerships preferred. Previous YMCA experience strongly preferred.
A college degree in Health Promotion, Recreation, Exercise Science, Business Administration, Human Services, or a related field is a plus, but not required. Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience is welcome.
