An affiliate of the Airbus Group of Companies, STELIA is an aerospace and defence company specializing in the design, development, and manufacturing of composite components and assemblies. Headquartered in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, and with a site in Mirabel, Quebec, we operate in more than 150,000 sq feet of facilities dedicated to operations, manufacturing and administration.

The HR Coordinator will assist the Human Resources team in various administrative functions and key HR initiatives, acting as the primary liaison between management and staff. They will support the recruitment and selection process, as well as support employee engagement initiatives that promote a positive workplace culture. They will ensure all necessary employee documentation is completed and will maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS and drives. They will perform various administrative tasks including digital filing, scanning and HR and Safety reporting. The HR Coordinator will also be responsible for the delivery of internal communications, including the successful translation of all current forms and HR Policies in both official languages.

In this role you will:

  • Recruitment and selection support, creating internal and external sourcing plans and job postings, screening candidates, preparing interview guides, and conducting background checks.
  • Assist in the coordination of new employee orientations, prepare onboarding materials and paperwork.
  • Assist with facilitating new hire orientation and onboarding programs with new staff and leaders.
  • Assist with Exit and Stay Interviews as part of our retention strategy.
  • Support the HR team in LMIA and AIP applications for employees.
  • Assist with employee programs and services including reporting and compliance.
  • Support organizational planning and workforce development.
  • Represent STELIA at career fairs, post-secondary institutions and other engagement opportunities within the community.
  • Lead and manage the Goal Setting and Performance Review cycle through HRIS.
  • Support our Employee Events + Welcoming & Inclusive Workplace Program by supporting initiatives aimed at enhancing employee satisfaction and workplace culture, including involvement in our engagement survey, helping build our annual calendar of events and developing internal communications.
  • Perform administrative duties as assigned.
  • You have:

  • A degree or post secondary program in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience working in Human Resources, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working towards CPHR designation would be considered an asset.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, in a constantly changing, fast-paced environment.
  • Dedicated team player who demonstrates initiative and autonomy
  • Operates with the highest degree of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Skilled in managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
