Job Description

Description:

Job Title: Mobile Tour Operator / CDL-B Driver
Company: MRA Mobile Experiential
Location: Oahu, Hawaii (Local candidates only)
Employment Type: Full-Time / Tour-Based

About MRA Mobile Experiential
At MRA, we bring world-class educational, cultural, and brand experiences directly to communities across the globe. We design, build, and operate custom mobile experiential exhibits that leave lasting impressions. We are currently seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Tour Operator (Class B CDL) based on Oahu to drive and operate a custom mobile educational exhibit 40' RV.

Role Overview
As a Tour Operator on Oahu, you are the operational foundation of our mobile activation. This is a local role where you will be home every evening after events. You will be responsible for safely navigating the vehicle between island activation sites, managing full setup and teardown, maintaining pristine vehicle presentation, and coordinating with onsite partners and MRA Fleet Management.

Key Responsibilities
Driving & Compliance
Safely operate and navigate the custom mobile exhibit RV to and from scheduled venue locations on Oahu.

  • Maintain full DOT compliance, including accurate electronic logging and hours tracking via Samsara.
  • Return the unit to designated parking/staging at the end of each shift (no overnight travel required for initial Oahu schedule).

Exhibit Setup, Teardown & Site Operations
Safely manage load-in and load-out at each site, coordinating arrival and positioning directly with onsite contacts per the Run of Show.

  • Execute complete opening and closing procedures (leveling, slide-outs, exterior stairs, interior securing) 2–3 times per week.
  • Power up and verify onboard audiovisual and exhibit technology before events. Remain nearby and reachable during activations to provide technical or mechanical support if needed (onsite client staff manages exhibit programming and visitor engagement).
  • Perform onsite location scouting when necessary to confirm access, overhead clearance, and turning radius.

Vehicle Maintenance & Presentation

  • Maintain the mobile exhibit in show-ready condition: wash exterior, shine wheels and tires, keep the driver cab clean, and maintain interior floors and surfaces.
  • Perform routine pre/post-trip inspections, monitor generator hours and engine mileage, and coordinate scheduled service with MRA Fleet Management.
  • Take event photos for activation recaps and submit weekly expense and mileage reports promptly.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • License: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class B minimum) with an air brake endorsement and a clean driving record.
  • Residency: Must be a local resident of Oahu available for daily local routes.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to lift, push, and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted, as well as bend, climb, and perform physical exhibit setup/teardown tasks.
  • Technical Aptitude: Comfort operating and troubleshooting basic onboard systems, including generators, electrical slide-outs, and basic AV displays.
  • Professionalism: Strong communication skills, self-motivation, and a reliable, solutions-oriented approach to on-site operations.

Why Join the MRA Team?
When you drive for MRA, you are part of a tight-knit, industry-leading team that values your craft and supports you every mile of the way. We offer competitive compensation, comprehensive fleet support, and the unique opportunity to be the driving force behind impactful, community-focused experiences—all while enjoying the consistency of sleeping in your own bed every night.

Requirements:

Skills and Qualifications:

- Valid CDL B license with a clean driving record.

- Proven experience in managing vehicle operations and event logistics independently.

- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with clients and team members.

- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing schedules and environments.

- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for commercial vehicle operation.

- Physical ability to handle setup and breakdown of event displays and assets.

- Flexibility to travel extensively and work on-site for extended periods.
