This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Process Analyst III based in the United States.
This is an opportunity to support critical national security missions through rigorous business analysis and strategic decision support.
You will examine complex business processes, workflows, and operational data to uncover insights and opportunities for improvement.
A key focus of the role is developing comprehensive Business Case Analyses and objective After Action Reports for senior leadership.
You will collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to collect information and evaluate program performance.
Your analysis will help align initiatives with broader business objectives, strategic priorities, and measurable outcomes.
The role also offers opportunities to contribute to business development activities, including technical documentation and proposal support.
Success requires strong analytical judgment, concise communication, and the ability to confidently brief senior leaders on complex subjects.
- Conduct thorough analyses of business processes, workflows, and operational practices to identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Gather, organize, and analyze program and project data to identify trends, relationships, and insights that can inform business and operational decisions.
- Develop comprehensive Business Case Analyses for project and program initiatives, including cost-benefit evaluations, risk assessments, and supporting recommendations.
- Prepare objective After Action Reports that assess project and initiative outcomes, documenting successes, challenges, lessons learned, and opportunities for future improvement.
- Coordinate with project managers, stakeholders, and team members to collect, validate, and synthesize the information required for business cases and performance reporting.
- Evaluate project objectives and activities to ensure alignment with organizational goals and strategic priorities.
- Monitor project progress, performance indicators, and key metrics, providing accurate and timely updates to senior leadership.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams to support successful project execution and informed decision-making.
- Deliver clear, concise, and impactful briefings on complex business and program subjects to senior leaders, translating analysis into actionable insights.
- Support business development activities as required, including participation in technical interviews, preparation of technical documentation, proposal writing support, and proposal color reviews.
- Work independently while maintaining effective collaboration with internal teams and stakeholders in a fully distributed working environment.
- Support periodic travel to Army-related locations and activities, including travel to Sierra Vista as required.
Requirements:
- Active Top Secret security clearance is required for consideration.
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree combined with two years of relevant experience considered equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree.
- 3–5+ years of experience in business analysis, program management, or a closely related role.
- Strong analytical capabilities, including the ability to interpret complex datasets, identify meaningful trends, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Demonstrated experience conducting business process and workflow analysis and developing business cases, cost-benefit analyses, risk assessments, and After Action Reports.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to present complex information clearly, concisely, and persuasively.
- Proven ability to prepare and deliver high-quality briefings to senior leaders and support strategic decision-making.
- Proficiency with project management tools and business analysis software.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders effectively.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Business analysis certification such as CBAP or project management certification such as PMP is desirable.
- Army experience is desirable, while Army NETCOM experience is a plus.
- Strong professional judgment, attention to detail, and an objective approach to evaluating program and project information.
- Comfortable spending extended periods working at a desk and using a computer.
- Able to lift and carry approximately 10–15 pounds when required.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10% to support Army-related requirements.
