Anesthesia Technician in Methuen, Massachusetts at Merrimack Health

As the Anesthesia Technician, you will perform a wide variety of tasks associated with the operation, maintenance, procurement and administration of anesthesia within the Hospital.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinates activities related to equipment decontamination and sterilization, to assure an ongoing infection control program.
• Demonstrates skills/knowledge appropriate to patient age-related categories as defined by LGH – neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric
• Equipment decontamination and sterilization
• Ensuring availability of supplies and equipment
• Assisting the anesthetists as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma required
• Previous experience in handling anesthesia and/or respiratory therapy equipment and working knowledge of biomedical skills preferred.
