Job Description
Job Summary:
Installs, tests, and repairs electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances. Reads blueprints, electrical diagrams, and shop drawings; runs conduit; sizes and pulls wire as required to install a complete and working electrical system. Performs additional related duties as required to meet project schedules, including clear communication with the supervisor and assisting co-workers in the construction department (not limited to electrical work only, you will be required to help other trades in times of need). Demonstrates knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with the patients, families, and visitors of all age groups while being sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs.
Performance Expectations:
- Demonstrates the ability to plan and install electrical systems and devices based on construction documents.
- Demonstrates the ability to troubleshoot routine electrical issues and provide corrective measures.
- Demonstrates the ability to perform assigned electrical repairs to building systems, such as lighting and power issues, as well as make repairs to equipment.
Qualifications:
Education/Skills:
High school diploma or GED required. 10 years of progressive experience on a commercial basis may substitute for the required education.
Work Experience:
5 years' previous related work experience is required. An Associate’s Degree or trade school degree in the field of electricity, electrical installations, or electrical systems may be a substitute for experience.
Certification/Licensure - DUE UPON HIRE
- Valid Driver's License
- Maintain a Good Driving Record
Mental Demands:
Ability to follow directives, works with other crafts within the industry, and demonstrates initiative.
