Position Summary

Join Jet Aviation and bring exceptional aircraft interiors and systems to life. As Mechanical Engineer within our Engineering team, you will contribute to the design and delivery of tailored mechanical solutions for Maintenance, Completion, and Governmental projects. Working at the intersection of engineering excellence, innovation, and craftsmanship, you will help transform customer requirements into high-quality, certifiable, and manufacturable design solutions. Your role

  • Support project delivery with technical ownership: Contribute to mechanical engineering activities across Maintenance, Completion, and Governmental projects from quotation to delivery.
  • Build strong project foundations: Collect technical data, clarify scope and assumptions, and support quotation activities
  • Capture the right technical baseline: Perform aircraft surveys including pictures, dimensions, and 3D scans.
  • Shape concepts early: Develop mechanical design principles for system architecture for ATA 21, 35, and 38 during the upfront phase.
  • Deliver robust design solutions: Create and maintain 3D models and 2D drawings for mechanical parts, assemblies, and installations in line with engineering rules, quality standards, and project milestones.
  • Manage interfaces effectively: Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure robust, compliant, and manufacturable solutions.
  • Drive quality and improvement: Apply engineering standards, integrate lessons learned, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Anticipate and resolve issues: Identify risks, escalate roadblocks, and address gaps between performed work and project scope.
  • Support validation and compliance: Participate in tests, prepare reports, and contribute to certification and compliance documentation where required.
  • Take ownership beyond design execution: Lead mechanical activities on assigned projects and act as checker, releaser, liaison support, or backup to the Mechanical Leader when needed.

Your profile

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related professional field from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in VIP Engineering mechanical domains, ideally with exposure to leadership or project coordination responsibilities.
  • Strong proficiency with CAE and CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Siemens NX, TeamCenter, and Microsoft Office.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical design principles, engineering processes, and interface management.
  • Strong communication skills, a positive mindset, and a collaborative, solution-oriented way of working.
  • Comfortable operating in a demanding, fast-moving environment with high quality expectations.
  • Fluent in English; French and/or German is an asset.
