Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5:30 PM

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

The Facility Technician is responsible for maintaining the physical plant and ensuring a safe, clean, and functional work environment in a large-scale nutraceutical manufacturing facility. This role involves a variety of tasks, including general maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance, with a specific focus on supporting manufacturing and warehouse operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manufacturing Support:
    1. Maintain and repair manufacturing equipment, including painting systems, HVAC units, drywall partitions, and other essential components.
    2. Ensure the proper functioning of forklifts and other material handling equipment.
    3. Support warehouse operations by maintaining racking systems, dock doors, dock plates, and air compressors.
    4. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Preventative Maintenance:
    1. Execute a comprehensive preventative maintenance schedule for all facility systems and equipment, including those specific to nutraceutical manufacturing.
    2. Conduct regular inspections and identify and address potential problems before they occur.
  • Safety:
    1. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures, including those related to manufacturing and warehouse operations.
    2. Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards promptly.
  • Energy Efficiency: Monitor energy consumption and implement measures to improve energy efficiency in the manufacturing and warehouse facilities.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies, such as equipment breakdowns, power outages, or leaks, in a timely and effective manner.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors for specialized services as needed.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in facility maintenance or a related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills, with a focus on industrial equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HVAC certification
  • Plumbing license
  • Electrical license
  • Experience with building automation systems
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, often up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in noisy environments.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time.

8 AM - 5:30 PM Monday - Friday
