Full-Time | Field-Based Leadership Role

The Opportunity

A growing organization in the restoration and mitigation industry is seeking an experienced, results-driven Sales Manager to lead and develop a high-performing sales team.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who thrives on coaching others, building strong customer relationships, and driving measurable sales performance. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can balance strategic oversight with active field involvement, helping team members improve their sales techniques, strengthen conversion rates, and consistently deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Working closely with sales representatives, project managers, and operational leadership, the Sales Manager will play a key role in developing talent, improving processes, and supporting continued business growth.

What You'll Do

Sales Leadership & Performance Management

  • Oversee daily sales operations, ensuring the team consistently meets performance expectations and business objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, train, and develop sales, marketing, and production personnel to strengthen individual and team performance.
  • Establish clear sales goals, performance expectations, training initiatives, and incentive programs that drive accountability and results.
  • Monitor sales activity, conversion rates, and performance reporting to identify trends, address challenges, and implement improvements.
  • Analyze performance data, investigate reporting discrepancies, and proactively resolve issues.
  • Partner with cross-functional leadership to improve sales processes, operational efficiency, and overall business performance.

Hands-On Field Coaching & Development

  • Spend significant time in the field conducting ride-alongs with sales representatives during live, in-home customer appointments.
  • Provide real-time coaching and constructive feedback to improve sales presentations, customer engagement, and closing techniques.
  • Train new and existing team members on consumer education, damage assessment, project scoping, and effective sales strategies.
  • Lead by example through hands-on demonstrations, including direct customer interactions when necessary.
  • Develop a consistent, high-performing sales approach across the team through ongoing training, mentorship, and accountability.

Customer Experience & Operational Collaboration

  • Ensure an exceptional customer experience throughout the sales and restoration process.
  • Utilize CRM systems to support project managers with accurate documentation, residential project coordination, and quality standards.
  • Work closely with operations and production teams to ensure a seamless transition from the initial sale through project execution.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction, sales conversions, and overall service delivery.
  • Promote a culture of professionalism, responsiveness, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a motivated leader who is comfortable being actively involved in the field, developing others, and taking ownership of team results.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3–5 years of sales management experience in a related industry, with a demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive results.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
  • Experience in disaster mitigation, restoration, water damage, or a related service industry is a plus, but not required.
  • Proven experience coaching, mentoring, and developing sales, marketing, management, or production teams.
  • Strong understanding of sales performance metrics, goal setting, and accountability.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to build relationships, motivate teams, and effectively manage competing priorities.
  • Comfortable working in a highly field-focused position, with approximately 80% of time spent in the field and 20% in the office.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet applicable company driving requirements.
  • Ability to successfully complete required post-offer background and drug screening.
