This role is a high-impact technical position at the core of enterprise infrastructure reliability and modernization. You will support and evolve complex hybrid environments spanning on-premise systems and cloud-based platforms, ensuring stability for critical services that underpin business continuity. Acting as a key member of the DevOps and Infrastructure Operations team, you will work across legacy systems and modern infrastructure-as-code pipelines to improve scalability, performance, and resilience. The role combines hands-on engineering, operational support, and strategic modernization efforts, with a strong focus on automation and observability. You will also play a central role in documenting systems, refining deployment processes, and enabling smoother collaboration across engineering teams. This is a highly autonomous role suited for engineers who thrive in fast-paced, mission-critical environments and enjoy solving complex infrastructure challenges.
- Stabilize, support, and enhance legacy on-premise and cloud infrastructure to ensure continuous service availability and business continuity.
- Develop, refactor, and maintain infrastructure-as-code pipelines and automation frameworks supporting deployments and system upgrades.
- Monitor system performance across distributed environments, manage alerting systems, and respond to incidents and troubleshooting requests.
- Improve observability, scalability, resiliency, and cost efficiency across hybrid infrastructure ecosystems.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including runbooks, deployment procedures, and system knowledge bases.
- Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and operations teams to support releases, change management, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
- Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to incident response, diagnosis, and resolution across production environments.
- 6+ years of UNIX/Linux system administration experience in large-scale distributed environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
- Proven ability to support and troubleshoot complex legacy and hybrid infrastructure systems.
- Expertise in at least one scripting language (Bash, Perl, etc.) and one programming language (Python, Go, Ruby, etc.).
- Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices (e.g., Jenkins, CodePipeline, Git, JFrog, Vagrant, Consul).
- Strong knowledge of system virtualization, containerization, and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, AWS SSM/Config).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and/or Waterfall environments, and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Strong documentation, communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
- U.S. work authorization required, with eligibility for public trust clearance.
- Competitive annual salary range between $117,500 and $170,000 USD.
