Job Description

Position title: Head of Operations (Hub for Guinea, Senegal, and Gambia)

Location: Guinea | and 2 more | (On-site)
Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in International Development, Business Administration, Finance, relevant field, or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience in a management position with progressive responsibilities in the area of expertise with at least 2 years management experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in International Development, Business Administration, Finance or relevant field.
  • Experience with an international NGO and experience outside country of origin.
  • Knowledge of multiple public donors’ regulations, including CRS’s primary institutional donors.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Solid understanding of financial systems, including budgeting and budget/expense analysis experience.
  • Knowledge of procurement and office administration/management issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including via Outlook and Teams. Ability to respond effectively and proactively in a remote working environment.
  • Ability to represent the agency at high levels.
  • Knowledge of Oracle ERP or similar financial reporting software.
  • Staff management experience and abilities that are conducive to a learning environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office package, Web Conferencing Applications, and information and budget management systems.
  • Excellent strategic, analytical, systems thinking, and problem-solving skills, with capacity to see the big picture and ability to make sound judgment and decisions.
  • Strong relations management abilities. Ability to work collaboratively.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to leverage a proactive, resourceful, solutions-oriented and results-oriented mindset.

Required Languages: English and French fluency

Travel: Must be willing and able to travel up to 40% based on country needs.
