Job Description

Senior Technical Writer

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Technical Writer in Canada.

This role sits at the intersection of technical writing, developer experience, and frontend platform ownership within a fast-moving blockchain infrastructure environment. You will be responsible for shaping how developers learn, integrate, and build using advanced Web3 tools and APIs. The position combines content creation with hands-on management of a Docusaurus-based documentation ecosystem. You will contribute directly to the performance, usability, and scalability of developer-facing platforms. Working closely with engineering, design, and DevEx teams, you will help evolve both documentation architecture and interactive learning experiences. This is a highly autonomous role suited for someone who enjoys solving technical problems while producing clear, impactful developer content. Your work will directly influence how global developers adopt and succeed with blockchain technologies.

Accountabilities:
  • Own and maintain the documentation and guides platform, ensuring stability, performance, scalability, and an optimal developer experience across all surfaces.
  • Build and enhance interactive documentation features such as code execution environments, dynamic APIs, authentication flows, and AI-powered search capabilities.
  • Implement frontend and UX improvements in collaboration with Engineering, Design, and DevEx teams to continuously refine the documentation experience.
  • Produce production-ready technical content including developer guides, tutorials, sample applications, and API documentation focused on blockchain and Web3 use cases.
  • Maintain OpenAPI and RPC specifications, ensuring accurate and automated documentation generation and validation workflows.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, dependency conflicts, CI/CD failures, and security vulnerabilities within the documentation system.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and ecosystem partners to ensure technical accuracy, improve adoption, and align documentation with product evolution.
  • Optimize content workflows using automation, metadata strategies, and AI-assisted tooling to scale documentation quality and efficiency.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in technical writing for developer audiences, including APIs, SDKs, tutorials, or platform documentation.
  • Strong proficiency with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.js, along with modern frontend development workflows.
  • Experience with documentation frameworks such as Docusaurus, Next.js, Gatsby, or similar static site generators.
  • Solid understanding of Git-based workflows including pull requests, CI/CD pipelines, and collaborative engineering processes.
  • Ability to write and validate production-level code examples in at least two of: JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Solidity, or Rust.
  • Strong knowledge of developer documentation best practices, including information architecture and API reference design.
  • Familiarity with blockchain ecosystems such as Ethereum or Solana, Web3 tooling, and smart contract concepts.
  • Experience optimizing technical content for SEO and AI/LLM discoverability using structured markdown and metadata.
  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to collaborate across Product, Engineering, Design, and DevEx teams.
Benefits:
  • Competitive and globally benchmarked compensation aligned with experience and location
  • Flexible remote work environment within a global team structure
  • Comprehensive benefits package tailored to regional standards
  • Opportunity to work on cutting-edge blockchain and Web3 infrastructure
  • High level of autonomy and ownership over both content and platform systems
  • Access to modern tooling, AI-assisted workflows, and advanced developer platforms
  • Strong emphasis on learning, experimentation, and technical growth.
